Magaly ines Beltrán,

Magaly Beltrán is a specialist in renewable energy, sustainable development, and climate resilience, with a strong foundation in science and technological management. She holds degrees in Physics and Industrial Engineering, a Master’s in Renewable Energy Technologies, and is currently a PhD candidate focusing on energy transition, climate policy, and low-carbon development.

 

Her professional experience spans across sectors — from clean energy projects with Biosolar Energy and business development for microenterprises at the Chamber of Industry of Cochabamba (CAMIND), to advancing gender equity and sustainable livelihoods through partnerships with UN Women and Terre des Hommes Germany. She also worked with the Plurinational Authority of Mother Earth (APMT), contributing to public policy development and climate change mitigation strategies that connect scientific research to local implementation.

 

In academia, Magaly has lectured at the Public University of El Alto (UPEA) and the University Mayor of San Simón (UMSS), where she developed and led training programs on low-carbon energy systems and sustainable development policy. Her work has been recognized through international scholarships and project grants in South Korea, Germany, Spain, Chile, Argentina, China, India, and the United States, focusing on greenhouse gas reduction, sustainable mining, and climate governance.

 

Guided by the belief that sustainability is not merely a technical goal but a transformative pathway, Magaly integrates technical expertise, social equity, and environmental vision to build a more resilient and low-carbon future.
